Please Mister Micawber /Alan . I need your help

Mary and her little sister were wearing their clothes .When they became ready ,Mary’s little sister tried on her new shoes.when Mary saw it ,she said," oh my dear!you are Banana feet ".Look at me ,I’m sunny feet.

In this context what do these two phrases mean ?

you are banana feet ’ look at me ,I’m sunny feet .

Hi TT–

In context, it must refer to their shoe style/color/design. It is difficult to imagine precisely, but Mary may be wearing something like bright shoes with a big orange rosette on each instep, while her sister is perhaps wearing yellow shoes with long pointed toes.

Or something like that!

Could you tell us more, please, Amna? From what language or from what variety of English do those idioms come?
