Please could you say if this sentence is correct?

This work is a result of researches by the specialists who studied the St. Petersburg journals to reveal the content related to the works by the St. Petersburg writers of the early 20th century.

Here is my suggestion:

This work is a result of research by specialists who studied St. Petersburg journals to reveal the content related to works by St. Petersburg writers of the early 20th century.

“research” is non-countable singular. Unless you have previously mentioned particular specialists or St. Petersburg journals or a group of writers, I would leave off those "the"s Here you are talking about a specific content, so that “the” is correct.
