What is the difference between “phrasing” and “paraphrasing”?

Thanks.

If you phrase an idea you express it in writing or orally. If you paraphrase a thought you express it with other words. A similar word is ‘to rephrase’. Please let me know if this makes sense.

Thanks, Torsten.

May I ask what is the difference between ‘rephrase’ and ‘paraphrase’?

Well, to me ‘to paraphrase’ means that you explain an idea in a different way thereby achieving a greater level of clarity while ‘to rephrase’ means to explain an idea with different words without necessarily achieving more clarity. Please let me know if this makes sense.
