phrase: a multi-million dollar industry

Hello,

I found a phrase “a multi-million dollar industry”. I think ‘dollar’ here should be ‘dollars’, but since here it is used an adjective, I think there should be a hyphen between million and dollor.

So, “a multi-million-dollar industry” is correct. What do you think?

Thanks,

I think it is too many hyphens. I like the original. In this kind of situation, a hyphen is not necessary if the relationship of the parts of the adjective phrase are clear and unambiguous without it.
