I’ve been trying for almost an hour to find the appropriate phrase for call made to confirm that something has been done. In Russian we use a phrase - controling call. But I couldn’t find any analogs in English. Please, provide the pharse which makes sense. Thanks!
I am not sure we have an exact equivalent - “controlling call” actually sounds a bit scary to me 
A confirmation call usually means a call immediately before an appointment or event to make sure it will happen on time:

A follow-up call is more like what you are describing, a call answering some questions or making sure that the problem has been solved:
