I’d like to ask which phrase sounds more natural for native English speakers as an academic degree – Dr. of pedagogical sciences, or Dr. of pedagogics. Or there is no difference between them?

Ms Google finds both in about equal measure-- but they are all mainly in Russia: obviously a Russian specialty. I would think that there is little difference in breadth of field.

I think pedagogics is a very common socialist or post-socialist countries and it’s a mix of communist ideology and some basic concepts of psychology. In western countries they call this major ‘education’.[YSaerTTEW443543]
