In your country, what does it take these days to deserve the label “patriot” and what of what does “anti-patriotism” consist?
That depends on whom you ask here in the States:
A hippie might say that a patriot is someone who decides to boycott showers, Wal-Mart, deodorant, combs/brushes, scissors, the laundering of clothes, the principles of capitalism/free enterprise, and personal responsibility.
Everyday Joe would likely tell you that a patriot is someone who backs the interests of the United States, who supports our troops, etc.
Do you still have hippies?
- What do you see as the difference between nationalism and patriotism?
Would any of you agree with those critics?
Nowadays, while the big globalisation, noone can be a ´nationalist´ or ´patriot´ unless we broaden these terms to ´earthonalism´, and some centuries from now ´universalism´ perhaps?
However, people are working on this issue.

How would you define an “earthonalist”, FoAH?
“earthonalist” — person who´s aware that the earth is the planet (only planet) we all are living on
How did you understand that term, Molly?
I didn’t.
