Hi,
Pls suggest whether we use past or present ense in the following sentence.

The company’s profit stands/stood at a massive $xxxx billion as of March 31,2019.

Hi Deb, welcome to our forum and thanks for your question. Since the date referenced in your sentence is in the past you should use the past tense too. Regards, Torsten
