I think it’s a very race case that two words are interchangeable completely. Why have two different words when you can convey exactly the same meaning with just one word? In fact you will be very hard pressed to find any word that can be replaced by another without changing the meaning at least very slightly.
Opportunity certainly implies that the situation carries a potential chance of achieving something positive. When you take an opportunity you use the circumstance to your advantage turn them into a favourable result. Possibility is just the condition or fact of being possible. Something may or may not happen.[YSaerTTEW443543]

Let me explain it silently different way to understand of using these words. I would say ‘opportunity’ implies when environment or situation is in favour for one’s goal or target. It means one is very sure about the out come or end result of a chore. But the word ‘possibility’ can be used for a negative result as well as possibility result. It means one is not sure what will be the out come or end result of a task.
