I am of the view that if you call a person who scores 100/100 (points) the smartest, your statements (with ‘only’) may be acceptable when nobody else has earned that score.

  1. There is only one who is the smartest.
  2. Raman is the only smartest.
  3. The smartest one is only Raman. (Only Raman is the smartest one)
