Should there be a hyphen between “metre” and “square”?

No, there shouldn’t, however I’d prefer.…when the concrete of one square metre…

In my view, both are acceptable.
When you say one-metre square concrete, the concrete is a block square in size.
If you say one-metre-square concrete, the concrete is a block one metre square in size.
I think it makes sense, doesn’t it?
