on/in/at another level

Hi,

I have a question on usage of prepositions.

  1. She is on/in/at another level.
  2. She is in her own league.

Both of the sentences mean “She” is the best, so far better than everyone else. I think for 2), to be sure, “in” is appropriate for that position. However, I’m not sure about 1). Three of them are okay with me, so what is right or most common? Please let me know.

Thanks in advance,

1, On another level is most common, and at another level is OK, but in another level sounds wrong. Think of Olympic winners on the three-height platform for gold/silver/bronze winners. Being IN a level would be painful.

  1. Yes.
