Oh, nice ending on that book.

What does “nice ending on that book” mean?

What is the complete form of this sentence:

  • That book had a nice ending.
  • That book have a nice ending.
  • That book finished with a nice ending.
  • What a nice endind that book had.

Thank you

I think it could also be “That book had a nice ending” if he’s commenting on his reading of the book, similar to this:
“I just read Robot World and it had a nice ending.”

“That book has a nice ending.” Is a comment on the book itself and would work anytime.
