Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?
Nowadays people are too much emphasized on appearance and fashion.

By force of the development of economy, people’s lives become better and better. Recently, there have been strong debates on whether or not people pay too much attention on appearance and fashion. Different people have different opinions, which depend on their background. From my prospective, in today’s society, people really put excessively attention on our looking. There are several reasons to support my standpoint, and here I want to put forward some of the most important ones.

First of all, the advanced technology has been brought a variety of fashion choices to people. It looks like the spark of designers inspiration never goes out. As long as we just go out wandering in a shopping mall, we could encounter a number of fashion clothes and jewelry stores. What’s more, those stores are keeping on coming enormous new fancy merchandize every season. People are always easily drawn by the prevalence of fashion, and cannot help bringing home more “trophies”. At the same time, they keep complaining they cannot figure out what to put on them today, even the closet is full.

In addition, nowadays, people concern immensely about how they are looking like in others eyes since it is unprecedented high that the frequency of interact between people are. In many people’s eyes, a good looking can help them gain respect from others. For example, in some places such as stores or restaurant, people in a nice apparel are possible got a better service than those in plain. Therefore, in order to make a good impression, people start to concern their appearance involuntarily. Especially in women’s view, the importance of appearance and fashion can never be exaggerated.

Last but not least, people claim a nice appearance can help them achieve a success in their career. When people dress gorgeously, they are able to feel more confident about themselves, and keep a good mood as well. Then, they are going to work more efficiently.

In sum, base on the discussion mentioned above, we can come to the conclusion that people truly pay much attention on their appearance because of the advanced technology and the benefits, which nice appearance can bring them.

In summing up, based on the discussion above, we can come to the conclusion that people truly pay too much attention to their appearance because of the advanced technology, and to the benefits that a nice appearance can bring them.
