'No' instead of 'Any'

1.- There isn?t (ANY) life on the moon.
2.- There is NO life on the moon.

My questions:

a) Can I use ‘No’ instead of ‘Any’ in
my second sentence?

b) Can I Drop ‘any’ in the first one?
