I enjoyed almost all the posts on the thread but I am unable to come across the use of
“let loose” enough yet.
Why do we need here is instead only – Mayhem let loose.
Do you think my writing makes sense?

‘Mayhem is let loose’ = ‘Mayhem runs free’ . In the first, a verb is needed: ‘is’.
