NGOs aiding terrorists

Here is part of an interesting article from yesterday’s news:

This isn’t the first time I’ve heard of alliances between NGOs and terrorist groups. In fact, it’s been known for some time that in the Middle East, UN vehicles are sometimes used to ferry terrorists and their weapons around.

Do you think that NGOs should be helping these people? If so, why? If not, what do you think should be done about the problem?

As a person who works for an NGO I believe that NGOs should first of all have a humanitarian face like helping people, which is an ethical requirement. But there is also a legal requirement which says NGOs should abide by laws and not cooperate with violent or illegal groups.

These subjects are attractive for you Jamie.
