Hello everyone, I recently created a free, web-based SAT vocab program that I would like to share with all of you. It is called simplewordgame.com, and it features a refreshingly simple user interface. Some might say it looks primitive, but the purpose was to avoid distracting clutter – after all, it’s a learning site – and to increase site loading speed.
The game is in a “hangman” format but without the hokey stick figure drawings. The definition is provided and you must determine the word by selecting letters one at a time. There are hundreds of words and definitions in the site’s database, and additional words are added every day. We’ll probably max out between three and five thousand.
Anyway, check it out if you like and let me know what you think. You can reach me at SimpleWordGame on Twitter or respond to this thread. Thanks.
Thank you for your reply. My twitter page is twitter.com/simplewordgame. I’m not sure what it is that you came across, but the site page is populated like a typical Twitter account. I don’t have many followers yet, but that’s because I just opened the account.
If you have any feedback on the site, positive or negative, I would encourage you to share. The site is essentially a bare-bones learning tool. It’s not meant to be flashy or overly fancy. It’s meant to be more of a basic web-app than a full, fleshed-out web site. Just keep that in mind when providing feedback.
Thanks again for taking an interest in my project.
