My regards

One of my friends has replied my e-mail as below:

Dear Aput

I have attached my report to this e-mail. Hope it works.

Please give my regards to Mr. Taldo

So at this time, what I should answer to part of “Please give my regards to Mr. Taldo” of this e-mail.

Thank you for your help.

You don’t need to respond to that sentence. If you really want to do so, you could say something like, “I’ll let him know you were asking after him.”

Thank you for your answer. Can you please explain meaning of this sentence: “I’ll let him know you were asking after him”

I’ll tell him you were enquiring about him (It’s used even though your friend didn’t ask whether he was well or anything else about him here.)
