Many thanks to Mr. Kyaw for that he reminded us what we forgot.
I wrote about this event as my daughter and her family leave in North-Carolina. I spoke to them on 27. October 2012 and they calmed us down that they are not in danger. After on 29. October I was watching the TV and I saw the name of their town : Chapel Hill . It was a snow-storm, the snowploughs cleaned the roads. I spoke to them immediately and I was very happy that they are healthy and I 've forgotten to express my deep regret for these families who lost their children, relatives, their home. Now lately I would like to express my sincere sympathy.

Hurricane Sandy has made me very nervous because I have friends in Peekskill, NY. I tried to contact them days ago, but I haven’t heard from them yet. I hope they are OK.
The NYC marathon is canceled, which is understandable. And Obama is doing a great job in disaster relief.
Yes, My daughters and my grand-children stayed healthy physically but in their soul they can’t get over this great tragedy. My grandchildren have from time to time crying-fits.
I don’t know why but this picture was one of the most shocking for me.
A woman stands alone in water in front of destroyed homes on Cedar Grove Avenue in a neighbourhood where many houses were heavily damaged or completely destroyed by storm surge flooding from Hurricane Sandy on the south side of the Staten Island section of New York City, November 1, 2012.
It is impressive! This woman looks hopeless and helpless, but how can one be in the middle of such a disaster? Where to go? What to do?
Like her, so many other people …
My compassion to all the people like this woman, for what they lost, for WHO they lost.
I wish them find the strength to overcome this hard time and rebuild their lifes. And smile again.
A lost and lonely looking young woman in the background of the rubble. And this photos is a snapshot. Perfect traumatic expression of destructive nature vs. mankind. We thought we’ve won the battles against nature.
But we don’t. Still we find way to conquer it by hook or by crook.
kind regards.
I’m a bit relaxed that I could at least say I’m really sorry.
I am happy that I was able to reach my friends in Peekskill. Last night I called them and they are well. I am so relieved. They said they only had about ten seconds of rain, but all around them, hell was loose. Brooklyn was hit real hard. Andy said that it is hard to get gas so today he will drive to the gas station early in the morning and “just wait”. The people are going through garbage containers to find food and other needful things. They are slowly but surely picking up the pieces and are trying to get back to normal, but it will take quite some time.
My heart goes out to those who have lost a loved one and/or their home.
The picture of the young girl standing there completely forlorn reminds me of the photo after the Japanese sunami of a young woman, also standing hopeless in the middle of nothingness. One feels so helpless and cannot imagine what these poor people have been and still are going through. All we can do is send them our love and strength.
Tens of thousands of people in New York state whose homes were damaged by storm Sandy could soon need housing as cold weather arrives, politicians warn.BBC
I’m a tropical man. I don’t know about Cold in the north at all.
But I’ve seen it on TV.
I hope America can manage it.
After our Burma Cyclone, we’ve been having extreme heat. Heat after heat.
