Most of the people or most people?

I have a doubt about the use of most.

Most of the people in world are busier nowadays or most people in the world are busier nowadays?

I think either one would be grammatically correct, but to me, “most people” sounds more natural. You do need “the” before world in either case - I assume that is just a typo.
