mop the floor/ wash the floor/ clean the floor

What is the difference between them?

I mopped/washed the floor yesterday. ( In this case I assume a mop was used.)
I cleaned the floor last Friday. ( In this situation the tool can be a mop, a broom, a vacuum cleaner etc.)

What is the truth? Thank you in advance.

‘Washing the floor’ does not necessarily involve a mop either.

Washing or mopping the floor indicates that you’re using a liquid, which would probably be soapy water.

Cleaning the floor in a room with all-to-wall carpeting usually means running a vacuum cleaner.

Thanks a lot.
