meaning of the bold part

I don’t understand the meaning of the bold part of the sentence:

The CV can, however, also be useful if you want to write to employers letting them know that you’re available should a suitable vacancy arise.

I’m also confused with missing verb after ‘should’. Is it grammatically correct?

Thanks in advance!

The sentence is grammatically correct. No verb is needed after should in this context. You can use a part of the CV to your employers to let any possible employers know that you would be able to start work immediately if a position was to become available.
