“Relation of PP o brim: This is the brim of your pelvis. The presenting part (PP) of the baby to the brim in the later stages of your pregnancy will be the part in your cervix ready to be born first.”
After reading this explanation of “Relation of PP o brim”, I still can’t get the idea. Can anybody tell me what it’s talking about?
Hi, Conchita,
Your explanation is very clear. But in the original text I quoted, it mentioned about “the part in your cervix ready to be born first”. I don’t understand what’s this to do with cervix or what this part of the text is trying to say…
This means 'the part of the baby (usually the head, but sometimes the bottom or even the feet) that is in the mother’s cervix (neck of the womb) – the baby has to go through the cervix to enter the birth canal. The part of the baby that is closest to the cervix is also called ‘presentation’ or ‘presenting part’.
