hi every one,
Does peaches and pears have a particular meaning in English as in He got angry for peaches and pears.
hi every one,

Never heard that one before.
My first suspicion is Cockney rhyming slang, but I haven’t heard that one.
‘Apples and pears’ is Cockney for ‘stairs’, which still doesn’t make sense here.
Some Googling shows that ‘peaches and pears’ is another substitute for ‘apples and pears’ to mean stairs, but I still don’t see the connection to angry.
However, I have a hard time making the connection to about 90% of Cockney slang. :?
