“Jupiter is in one respect similar to a brown dwarf.”

Could you show the meaning of the highlighted phrase?

Hi,

‘In one respect’ suggests from one point of view/from one aspect. In other words in that particulat point but not overall. You could make a comparison between two leaders who in many ways are not similar but in one respect they are similar because they both worry about what people think of them.
