Dear teachers,
Please read:
We told her we’[color=red]d [color=green]back her [color=darkblue]whatever.
1/"'d" = would (past form of “will”)
Is it right?
2/Back is a verb. It means…
3/ Whatever means…
Please help me. I can’t find the meaning in the dictionary.

We told her we’[color=red]d [color=green]back her [color=darkblue]whatever.
1/“'d” = would (past form of “will”)
Is it right? [color=blue]Yes (would)
2/Back is a verb. [color=blue]It probably means… “support” (either morally or financially)
3/ Whatever [color=blue]probably means… “no matter what”, but could also mean “whatever amount of money (is needed)”
With no further context, that’s the best I can do.
Many thanks, teacher.
Could you explain me what does “no matter what” mean?
It means in any way, at any conditions , we will support her?

.
Yes, that’s basically right.
“No matter what (happens)” means “it doesn’t matter what happens or what the situation is. Anything that happens will be accepted.”
