Interestingly enough, the German translation of the prompt is twice as long as English version.

That’s always the case with English - German. I remember well in those far off days of divided Germany. I used to do talks for the BBC in their German Service with broadcasts beamed at East Germany. I would write my script in English which would then be translated into German and become a much longer talk for me to read. I didn’t mind because you got paid by the minute!
