"Masseur" vs "Massager"

What is the difference between the given words?

“Masseur” and “Massager”

Hi,Tom.
Masseur is a man who massages.This word is of French origin.In my opinion I don’t think that massager is the same.I’m inclined to think that it’s rather a device(electrical or not) meant for massage.
Anyway, let’s listen to Amy’s point of view :smiley:

Couldn’t agree more, Pamela. I’d also say that a “massager” would most likely be a device used for massaging.
