Lyrics of "far away from home" song

Hi guys,

Would you please help me find out the lyric of “far away from home” song released by ‘slackwax’?

You can listen to the song on below link.

I tried to write the lyric by myself but I didn’t understand some words, so I replaced them with “???”. Please help me replace “???” with correct words or phrase.

Red light, green light
here we go,
A man can see ???
but it’s moving too slow,
stair’s out, climb down
??? from rain,
??? cause intoxicated,
blood runs through my veins,
??? night prostitute on a ???,
two business men from Japan plane ??? pool,
I ??? myself a token to a ??? to Rome,
a salesman from the west coast who’s far away from home,
far away from home,
I’ve been raised crawling away off from the past,
I’ve never been forgotten but try to pushed aside at last,
I’ve been ??? this monkey wagon,
I’ve been dragged by this monkey train,
over and over and over again,
I ??? myself to promise,
said never you know at all,
now I found myself again walking Spanish down the hall,
strange faces passing by me,
God I feel so all alone,
somewhere in the city so far away from home,
Here we go,
far away from home.

The song has some allusions only a westerner could be aware of: ‘monkey wagon’ [= drug addiction]; ‘walking Spanish’ [=taking the last march to the death penalty. See “He’s walkin’ Spanish down the hall" by Tom Waits]. Some hazy points I still don’t understand, sorry. (Great song by the way.)
My version:

Red light, green light
here we go,
A man can’t see the light
my body’s moving too slow,
The stairs I climb down
Are wet from rain,
I stumble cause intoxicated blood runs through my veins,
Late night prostitute on a piano stool,
two businessmen from Japan playing snooker or pool,
I ??? myself a talking to a guy in the room,
a salesman from the west coast who’s far away from home,
far away from home,
I’ve been raised crawling way off from the past,
never been forgotten but try to be pushed aside at last,
I’ve been round this monkey wagon,
I’ve been dragged by this monkey train,
over and over and over again,
I ??? myself to promise,
Said, “Never,” you know it all,
now I find myself again walking Spanish down the hall
strange faces passing by me,
God I feel so all alone,
somewhere in the city so far away from home,
Here we go,
far away from home.

Should be good to go now, give or take a comma or two…

Red light, green light…
Here we go,
[A man] MY MIND can’t see the light
My body’s moving too slow,
The stairs I climb down
Are wet from rain,
I stumble cause intoxicated blood runs through my veins,
Late night prostitute on a piano stool,
Two businessmen from Japan playing snooker or pool,
I HEAR myself [a] talking to a guy [in the room] NAMED JEROME,
A salesman from the west coast who’s far away from home,
HERE WE GO…
Far away from home,
I’ve been raised crawling way off from the past,
Never been forgotten but [try] TRIED to be pushed aside at last,
I’ve been round this monkey wagon,
I’ve been dragged by this monkey train,
Over and over and over again,
I MADE myself [to] A promise,
Said, “Never,” you know, it all,
Now I find myself again walking Spanish down the hall,
Strange faces passing by me,
God, I feel so all alone,
Somewhere in the city so far away from home.
Here we go…
Far away from home.

Well done to Christina.
One thing: I distinctly hear “I HEAR myself a talking”…

Well done to Dodge, well done to Eugene.

I took that as “I hear myself UH talking”. Otherwise it doesn’t make sense grammar-wise… Or does it?

Dear Eugene and Christina,
Thank you so much. You made me feel happy with your precious posts

Just for the record:
“For me it’s an americanism. I can hear it in many songs and have come across it reading american books.
I was a-thinkin’
I was a-comin’
same as i was thinking
I was coming” english-test.net/forum/ftopi … _a-changin

Then “I hear myself a-talking" proves not that non-sensical as it first appeared…
