lost the train vs missed the train

What’s the difference between:

I missed the train and I lost the train.

Hi
Naturally missing the train can make you very late when traveling somewhere.
OR, you were too late to get a job or you made a decision too late to gain something for advantage.

If you loose the train, well, the full meaning is probably “to loose the train of thought” which means to loose concentration for an instant.

Hope this helps.

You seem to have momentarily lost your train of thought, Patrick!

OOPS that is what you get for not concentrating, thnx for the feed back.
