'Log in' versus 'Log on'

Hi

Could you please tell me if the following sound([color=red]s?) OK to you?

1- On Saturday night I could not log in.
2- On Saturday night I could not log on.

Tom

Hi Tom

In case it can help, have a look at this old thread:

Log in or log on?

Also, I remember that there was another discussion exactly on the topic, but I’ve failed to find it now :frowning:
That search engine… you know…

In my today’s view, ‘log in’ is a bit more general, whereas when you ‘log on’, you are going to do something.
