Hi
Could you please help me understand what lady Macbeth is saying in the following lines?
[color=red]“I have given suck, and know
How tender 'tis to love the babe that milks me.”

Put in a less poetic way:
“Having breastfed, I have experienced a tender love for my suckling baby.”
Doesn’t Shakespeare express it beautifully, though?
I like the version I gave you less and less. How about this one?:
“Having breastfed, I know how tender the love for my suckling baby is.”
