Lines around the block?

Hi, could you please explain what the phrase “lines around the block” means in the following sentence?

I just heard about a new clothing store in Pasadena that has lines around the block. A clothing store!)

Thanks a lot,

I think that ‘A store has lines around the block’ just means that the shop is so successful that people are queuing around the corner to get in.

Yes Conchita, thanks for enlightening me. Of course you are right, in the US lines are queues.[YSaerTTEW443543]
