I’ll restate it two different ways:
“There is a lot going on, especially the party I’m having on Friday.”
“There are many things happening, for instance the party I’m having on Friday.”
Like = Kinda like “for example.” A has got a lot going on, and the party is just one thing.
A lot = Life is busy, plenty happening. The party’s just part of it.
Now we’re talking a bit about the letter “A” here. So if you ever need to choose a name for whatever or someone, you could make a unique choice by opting for Japanese A names.
I’m going to be very bold and blunt with you: don’t ask questions you already have the answer to. By the way, the more you look for answers that you already have, the more silly questions you ask, not only yourself, but also others. It becomes very boring as you will eventually find out, my dear.
I wonder. Is this an episode of ‘The Bold and The Beautiful’ or ‘The Blonds and the Blacks’? What do you think @Beeesneees ?
Yes, of course and you know why? Because she was throwing a party in one of those cheap cocktail party tents, wearing an atrocious outfit, as usual and she put the pegs in the wrong place. The tent came down like flat hot-air balloon and it fell to the ground. The party was over and all the guests were disappointed. My goodness gracious, the girl is a disappointment as well, wouldn’t you say, Eugene?
