Let's play...

  1. FINGER

On humans, these usually end with a nail.

  1. THUMB

The finger you point upwards for agreement, downwards for disagreement and sideways accros your neck for really strong intimidation!

@ Heba :

Typo

You are right. The players here are too good!

  1. Tom

  1. BOY

Tomboy. If you say that a girl is a tomboy, you mean that she likes playing rough or noisy games, or doing things that were traditionally considered to be things that boys enjoy. As gender balance has become the norm, with less differentiation between boys’ activities and girls’ activities, the word is being used less - however it can still be heard, particularly in ‘traditional’ communities.

Ok you said it BN - a Tomboy is a

  1. GIRL
  1. DRESS

Well, a boy wouldn’t normally wear one, would he?

If you wanna get ahead get a

  1. HAT
  1. MERCURY

Once used in millinery factories, in order to stiffen the felt that the hats were made from. Unfortunately, it led to the factory workers developing dementia and mental illness, which led to the phrase “As Mad As A Hatter.”

Crikey thats amazing BN - Don’t even care if you just made it up it sounds great - you’re a bleeding Psunami of information tonight!!

  1. VENUS - While Mercury is a liquid metal and also a deadly poison it does also happen to be the smallest planet in the solar system and closest to our Sun.
Venus however is second closest (between Mercury and us)

As luck would have it we were discussing that phrase at lunchtime in work today. It’s even more amazing than that actually… apparently before they discovered the effect of mercury on felt the factory workers used to stiffen it by urinating on the felt. However a number of factory workers seemed able to produce urine which would stiffen felt far better than others - and it turned out that these workers were being treated for gonorrhea with doses of mercury! So they just cut out the middleman and added the mercury direct to the felt.
(By the way, I think you meant ‘Tsunami’ )

  1. PALM
The Mount of Venus is the fleshy part of the palm between the base of the thumb and the wrist (Use of ‘mount’ almost takes us back to the starting word there!)

  1. Cordyline - is a type of Palm tree.

Okay, Cordyline (31) is a species of…

  1. PLANTS
  1. Oxygen
Plants growing on the surface of the earth and in the seas’ depths produce oxygen. Oxygen is necessary for our life, we must preserve the flora and fauna of the Earth.

34)CARBON DIOXIDE

Is used by plants during photosynthesis to make sugars, which may either be consumed in respiration or used as the raw material to produce other organic compounds needed for plant growth and development. It is produced during respiration by plants, and by all animals, fungi and microorganisms that depend either directly or indirectly on plants for food. It is thus a major component of the carbon cycle. Carbon dioxide is generated as a by-product of the combustion of fossil fuels or the burning of vegetable matter, among other chemical processes. Amounts of carbon dioxide are emitted from volcanoes and other geothermal processes such as hot springs and geysers and by the dissolution of carbonates in crustal rocks.

  • Was that long enough do you think?

jamie

Dear players, I think this game is getting a little out of my league (LOL!).

I believe that you often find in (35) CHEMISTRY textbooks. Chemistry is a branch of science dealing with the structure, composition, properties, and reactive characteristics of substances, especially at the atomic and molecular levels.

C2 H5 OH

To raise te spirit up, you have to pour the spirit down! ;-D

  1. birch
There are many foreigners who have the association Vodka - Russia… But they just hadn’t seen russians birch groves, beautiful lakes and rivers, and perhaps they had no russian friends. It may very well be in a few years Russia will have other associations…like soul, hospitality…But still…vodka is the first in this range

The birch - old fashioned form of 38) CORPORAL PUNISHMENT in which someone is hit hard with a thin stick

Ouch, Bagheera! Hitting people with a stick could leave nasty 39) BRUISE, you know?

A bruise forms on the 40)SKIN.
