Some people prefer to learn from real-life experiences. Other people prefer to learn in the classroom. Which do you prefer? Use specific reasons and examples to explain your answer.
There are some things that we learn from real-life experiences, and there are some that we can learn only in class. Even though I think that both ways of learning might be very common and useful, learning in the classroom has more weight.
First, we always have someone who is considered to be a professional in the classroom. That might be a teacher, a professor, or someone that possesses a greater amount of knowledge than we do. This person gained that knowledge by studying at a university or college, reading particular literature, or attending certain conferences or meetings. Another reason why this person might be more intelligent is the age. Since teachers are usually older than their students, they have had more experiences and knowledge, and they are willing to pass on them to their students. In my opinion, having such teachers, students can learn a lot from them. The teachers share their knowledge and experiences that students might not even never encounter in their entire lives.
Second, while in school, students are exposed to many subjects. Not only do they learn about mathematics or literature, but they also learn about physics, astronomy, arts, and many other domains. I don’t think we could get so many knowledge and such a deep insight into many subjects if we do nothing but wait for an experience that might never come.
To sum up, I want to state that knowledge either gained from real-life experiences or acquired from professional teachers is highly valued. However, I still believe that learning in the classroom provides more benefits in term of expenditure of our point of interests and providing us with the someone who is more advanced and is willing to educate us.
