Monday December 21
We began the day talking about winter solstice and being thankful we have finally reached the shortest day of the year.
We are finished our text now and concentrating on review. I reviewed prepositions with their verbs and then we reviewed possessives and question words using WE1 Unit 7 about possession. In the afternoon we did a practice test and marked it together to help identify problem areas and to prepare for the final test tomorrow.
Tuesday, December 22
Today we reviewed the present perfect as some of the students had trouble on this area during the practice test. I used a A2/B1 level Unit from Worldlink 1 which practices the use of present perfect in questions and answers during the preparation for a trip to Mexico. We also used some workbook exercises from World English 1 using the language of lifetime achievements for a job interview.
Wednesday, December 23
We did the test in the morning and marked it as well. In the afternoon we watched another Xmas movie Santa Who? until it was time to go.
