God said, “Jesus will speak to the people when in his cradle, as well when he grown up, and he will be among the righteous.”
Is this sentence grammatically correct?
If not, please correct it.
Thanks.
Probably:
God said, “Jesus will speak to the people when they are in the cradle, as well when they grow up, and those who listen/follow him will be among the righteous.”
Hi Beeesneees, to me the passage was talking about the stages of Jesus’ life, so I would say, “Jesus will speak to the people when in His cradle, as well when He is grown up, and He will be among the righteous.”
Although I guess I am not sure who the “he” is in the last clause.
Thanks, you’re probably right, (the last clause is what threw me too. It seems at odds a little) but is there a missing ‘an’ or did you mean to type it as you have? I would say:
“Jesus will speak to the people when (He is) in His cradle, as well as when He is grown up, and He will be among the righteous.”
