1a. He always jerked/tossed his head (up) as a jerk.
1b. He always jerked/tossed his head (up) as a joker.
1c. He always jerked/tossed his head (up) as a fool.
2. He put on a special, appealing and attractive attire on his wedding day.

Te endings are not appropriate. The use in standard English would be ‘like a…’
The idea of someone appearing to be a jerk, joker or fool simply because they tossed or jerked their head up is extremely unlikely. In particular the use of ‘jerk’ is a noun in (1) does not follow. A jerk (modern English slang) is someone who acts in an obnoxious way.
