Hi,

.
I usually use the word “marmalade” only for jam that is made from oranges.
“Jam” can be made with any fruit.
.
Jam is sugar boiled with actual fruit. Thus, it’s opaque, and has chunks of the fruit in it.
Jelly is sugar boiled with just the fruit juices, and gelatin or pectin for thickener. Thus it’s mostly clear and transparent, (think runny Jello!)
Marmalade is jelly, but with some pieces of the fruit, typically the rind, (known as zest) visible. Also, marmalade is mostly commonly made with citrus fruits, although others kinds of fruit are possible.
Finally, marmalade typically is a bit more tart and tangy (due to the citrus) than jam or jelly.
