I've got a strong sense of right and wrong

Hello!
What is the meaning of this sentence: ‘I’ve got a strong sense of right and wrong.’
Thank you!

It means he has good knowledge of what is right and what is wrong - perhaps you could say he has “good morals”. This sentence really bugs me though. Who does not think that “they have a strong sense of right and wrong”? Could you imagine someone saying “you know, I really don’t know what is right and what is wrong, I am hoping someone will tell me soon”? Personally, I think the only reason someone might say your sentence is if they are about to tell you what to do!
