It's picking up?

Hi everyone. Can you please tell me if I’m using the phrasal verb ‘pick up’ correctly here? Frank: Have you seen the gas price today? Mike: Yes, it’s picking up again and I’m actually thinking about selling my car’.

Many thanks.

Yes, that sounds fine. I think, not quite sure, that picking up refers specifically to a rebound, as implied by the again.

I would so use “so” instead of “and,” and “actually” does not sound quite right bearing in mind that this is a repeated event rather than the surprise implied, I think, by “actually”. “Yes, it’s picking up again so I am really thinking about selling my car this time.”

Reading the sentence again with your correction it makes perfect sense. Thank you very much for your support :+1:.
