Is this correct - Hello Peter, am I be referred by John?

Is this correct - “Hello Peter, am I be referred by John?”.

My intention is:
Did Peter refer my name to you?

Thanks

I’m not quite sure what you mean by ‘refer my name to you’. Maybe you want to say the following? Hi Peter. Did John recommend me to you?

yes, - I meant to ask - did he refer my name ?

I’m a little confused by the pronouns.

Hello Peter or Hi Peter - Peter is the one you are talking to.

Did John refer me to you?
Did John recommend me to you?
Did John give you my name? ( more casual )

Is there any way (casual or usual) to include "Have I been " - Like – Have I been referred to you by John?

Thanks!

This sentence might be grammatically correct but it’s too complicated and contrived.
