I’m trying to translate a Russian idiom.
In Russia you would say “Do not awaken the beast in me”, When you mean “don’t make me angry”
Is there any other expression in English that would mean the same?

I think this is a very Russian idiom.I never heard about something like this.

Why would you want to change that? “Do not awaken the beast in me” is 100 times cooler and more dramatic than any phrase it would translate into. I think I will start saying it!
Well, that is part of my question i guess. I don’t know if people will understand me if I’ll say something like that to them.
I have already had a misfortune translating some jokes to Americans; Not only I had to laugh at my jokes myself, afterwords i felt stupid from all the confused faces that were looking at me)) 
‘Awaken the beast in me’ in English is more likely to refer to the sexual urge than anger.
" Don’t get my back up ! " … as in- an angry dog with its hackles raised on its back- or - a cat with its back arched in anger - .
"Don’t make me see red ! "… as in ( perhaps ) a red mist of anger coming in front of your eyes - or - like an angry bull seeing a red flag.

Being Russian I know exactly what do you mean and in my opinion the best option would be something like " Don’t drive me wild "which, once again, may contain sexual meaning, depends on situation. I would’ve used “Let sleeping dog lie”. Less menacing and more widely known. And at the end of the day it’s a proverb as well.
