Integrated. Tidal power

Good evening! I haven’t written for a long time concentrating on reading and listening. These and enother one essay are timed and “as is”. Although I’ve reviewed mistakes, I think it is a bit worse anyway.
So, thanks for any feedback!

Summarize the points made in the lecture you jus heard, explaining how they cast doubt on the points made in the reading

Both the reading and the lecture discuss opposite points on getting electrical energy from the power of tides. The reading describes the technology and its advantages, whereas the listening passage concentrates on drawbacks.

The first professor’s point is that construction of such a factory changes the water structure. It changes salinity and mud concentration which kills some species of fish and, as a result causes devastation of some animals living near the river. This point contradicts the reading, which says that tidal power is only beneficial.

Then the lecturer says that river habitats suffer from tidal power because they are not able to migrate from the river to the sea. As we now from the reading, to make tidal energy barrage of dam is built on the river which makes an obstacle for fish and other organisms.

Finally, the professor concludes that even people have troubles connected with this sort of energy. They can not navigate to sea which causes serious economical problems.

In conclusion, tidal power is beneficial because of its stability, and purity. However, the listening provides us with drawbacks such as salinity changing and even economical problems.

TOEFL listening lectures: Why does the lecturer mention Leonardo da Vinci?

Summarize the points made in the lecture you just heard, explaining how they cast doubt on the points made in the reading

Both the reading and the lecture discuss opposite points /on/IN/ getting electrical energy from the power of THE tides. The reading describes the technology and its advantages, whereas the listening passage concentrates on drawbacks.

The first professor’s point is that construction of such a factory changes the water structure. It changes salinity and mud concentration(,) which kills some species of fish and as a result causes devastation of some animals living near the river. This point contradicts the reading, which says that tidal power is only beneficial.

Then the lecturer says that river INhabitaNTS suffer from tidal power because they are not able to migrate from the river to the sea. As we Know from the reading; to make tidal energy A barrage of damS is built IN the river which makes an obstacle for fish and other organisms.

Finally, the professor concludes that even people have troubles connected with this sort of energy. They (cannot) navigate to sea which causes serious economical problems.

In conclusion, tidal power is beneficial because of its stability, and purity. However, the listening provides us with drawbacks such as salinity changing and even economical problems.

A little brief Arseni, but conclusive.

Kitos. 8.5/10

Actually, integrated should be 150-225 words, but you’re right, it might be more detailed.
Kitos, would you mind explaining: can not - (cannot) correction ? I’ve seen twice today but it doesn’t make sence… I should write “cannot” in one word?
Thanks for help.

In my opinion, yes you should.

Can not should only be used for emphasis.

Son. “Can I go to the party Dad?”
Father. “For the LAST time, no, you can not.” OK?

It does make sense! Thanks for explanation!

Sorry, but where can I find this text and listening about tidal power? I would like to practice integrated writing.

Thanks

This one is from cambridge book, but there are lots of integrated and independent tasks in barrons, longman and many others. Try looking at google and download some materials. I like longman preparation and cambridge 4th edition.

Thanks
