Hi. This is my first integrated essay. There are some integrated essay formats. I’m not sure which format I should follow. So here is one format I learned from a Toefl preparation book. Please give me advice for this integrated. Thank you!
The author states that the global warming caused by human activities greatly contributes in weather changes, decreasing enormous number of plants and animals, and economic losses. The speaker strengthens the author’s points that rising temperature on Earth affects badly weather and economic in North-Eastern America.
The author states that human activities such as cutting forests, burning fossil fuel, and industrial activities increase amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and the temperature on Earth as well. Global warming caused changes in weather, for instance, flooding, ice cover melting, hurricanes, sea level rising, etc. Besides, changes in weather directly contribute in extinction of many plants and animals. This also contributes to economic losses.
The speaker strengthens those points of the author by giving some specific examples in North-Eastern America. According to a research, the temperature has been rising up since passed half century in North-East area. The amount of snow in the winter significantly increases. This negatively affects ski industry. For specific, ski resorts have to make artificial snow which requires more money since there is less snow. In the summer, plants are less colourful due to high temperature. Consequently, hotels, gift shops tourism, and local economic are also reduced their profits.
