Ing vs ed (surprising look VERSUS surprised look)

Dear teachers,

Please read:

1.It’s a surprising look.
2.It’s a surprised look.

Please tell me the difference in meaning btw:
[color=red]a surprising look and [color=blue]a surprised look.

Thanks
Quoc

Similar words, but different in meaning.

If you have a surprising look, you look astonishing, unusual to other people – you have a look that surprises others (others will be surprised by you).

Whereas if you have a surprised look, you are yourself astonished or have been unexpectedly shocked by something (others are not necessarily surprised by you).
