Anyway, my question is: is it possible to test indirect questions by asking open-ended questions?
Yes, it is. For example, “I want to ask you if there are any questions about the test.”
Hi James, what I meant was can you ask a question that would generate an answer that is an indirect question?
A: Are you OK?
B: Why do you ask me if I am OK?
