I have a question about what the exact meaning of “in some way” and “in some ways”. I am a bit confused how to use them.

ways - plural.

[color=blue]As has been mentioned, “way” is singular and “ways” is plural, but there is more to it than that.

“in some ways” is very simple and straightforward.
‘In some ways he resembles my brother.’ They are both tall and thin and quite shy.

‘In some way he resembles my brother.’ This is more subtle and complicated. The speaker might not even be able to clearly express what the resemblance is. But there
is something about ‘him’ that makes the speaker say that sentence.

Finally, if “some way” were only a matter of singleness, the sentence should say ‘In one way he resembles my brother.’
